AI Usage Policy
Rules for using generative AI technologies when preparing manuscripts for the Lomonosov Youth Journal
General Principle
The editorial office allows the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) technologies when preparing a manuscript, provided there is full transparency and the authors retain responsibility for the content of the article.
Rules for Authors
- AI cannot be listed as an author or co-author of an article - responsibility for the entire content of the manuscript, including any AI-assisted parts, rests solely with the human author(s).
- If generative AI tools were used in preparing the manuscript (translation, text editing, data analysis, etc.), this must be disclosed in the "Additional Information" field of the submission form: which tool was used and for what purpose.
- Using AI to generate factual data, research results, source references, or citations that have not been personally verified by the author is not permitted. The author bears full responsibility for the accuracy and originality of all data and statements in the manuscript, regardless of how they were prepared.
- Signs of improper AI use (fabricated data, unreliable references, a significant proportion of unedited machine-generated text) are grounds for rejecting the manuscript under the Ethics section of the Article Requirements.
Editorial Rights
The editorial office reserves the right to use software tools to check text for signs of machine generation and to request clarification from the author regarding AI use in preparing the manuscript.
