About the Journal

History

On January 26, 2023 - Tatiana Day - MSU Rector, Academician Viktor Antonovich Sadovnichy signed Order No. 53 establishing the Lomonosov Youth Journal, a scientific journal for students, postgraduates and young researchers.

The journal project was developed by the MSU Student Council Science Committee with the support of the MSU Young Scientists Council. In the 13th convocation, the full structure of the journal and editorial board were formed in cooperation with the MSU Research Policy Office.

Since autumn 2024, work on the journal website has been underway in cooperation with Moscow University Press. Submissions and publications will be handled through this website.

Mission

The Lomonosov Youth Journal is an analogue of the "Vestnik Moskovskogo Universiteta" for young researchers. The journal aims to be the leading platform for publishing research by MSU students and postgraduates.

Goals

The goals of the Journal are to publish results of the most significant scientific research by students and young scientists, to develop the intellectual potential of youth, and to integrate the youth scientific community.

Objectives

1. promoting achievement of the strategic goals of the MSU Development Program and the objectives of the Russian Federation Scientific and Technological Development Strategy;
2. creating conditions for students and young scientists involved in research to build successful careers in science, technology and innovation;
3. improving the quality of research conducted by students and young scientists.

Regulatory and Legal Basis

The journal is published in accordance with the Law of the Russian Federation "On Mass Media", the Regulations "On the Scientific Journal of Lomonosov Moscow State University «Vestnik Moskovskogo Universiteta»", and these Regulations.

The Regulations are based on: normative legal acts of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation; local acts of MSU; Law of the Russian Federation No. 2124-1 of 27.12.1991 "On Mass Media"; Chapter 70 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation (Part Four) No. 230-FZ of 18.12.2006; Federal Law "On Information, Information Technologies and Information Protection" No. 149-FZ of 27.07.2006; Presidential Decree No. 642 of 01.12.2016 "On the Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation"; Presidential Decree No. 231 of 25.04.2022 "On the Announcement of the Decade of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation".

Publication Policy

The journal publishes results of the most significant scientific research by students, postgraduates and young scientists. All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review before a publication decision is made. Publication is free of charge for authors: there is no fee for reviewing or publishing a manuscript, and no author honorarium is paid.
